“In a village school where dusty throat and stomach aches were an everyday reality, water was something children feared as much as they needed. Every morning, nine-year-old Aarav walked to school carrying a rusty metal jug from the open village well—a source that often left him too sick to sit through lessons. Everything changed the day a bright blue UV-RO water purification system was installed in the school courtyard. Along with it, every child was handed their very own durable, reusable water bottle, etched with their name. Aarav no longer missed school, and his attendance soared. Inspired by the simple bottle, his parents began boiling and treating their home water too. One purified tap at school turned into a symbol of health, pride, and hope for the entire community.”

A. Wildlife Week 2026 (7 Days · 7 Photographers · 7 Speakers)

Celebration of National Wildlife Week (2–8 Oct 2026, Rajkot) to create public awareness about wildlife conservation, biodiversity, and coexistence through storytelling, photography, and expert knowledge.

A 7-day program themed: “7 Days, 7 Photographers, 7 Speakers – Seven Days, Seven Voices, Seven Perspectives” held daily at 8:15 PM onwards at Rotary Midtown Lalitalay, Rajkot. The format included an 8:30–9:00 PM Wildlife Photography Showcase followed by presentations by naturalists. 14 experts covered diverse topics: Wild Africa, India’s marine biodiversity, snakes & snakebite, macro photography, avian world, wildscapes of Gir & Velavadar, small mammals, and butterflies.

Inspiring Note – THE CURIOUS LISTENER:
“She didn't come with a badge. No logo on her T-shirt, no official title. When someone asked Zarana which of the three organizing teams she belonged to, she smiled and said, ‘Technically, none.’ She was just a writer. A storyteller. A curious listener who had been connected to the group by SSR. On Day 1 of Wildlife Week 2026, she walked into Rotary Midtown Lalitalay as an outsider. By Day 7, she was leaving with a family she knew she would meet again and again.

From the wild plains of Africa in Kenya and Tanzania to the hidden marine treasures of India's coasts. From the silent, serpentine beauty in the shadows to the urgent story of snakebite. From the world seen through a macro lens to the world of birds, butterflies, small forgotten mammals, and the giants of Gir...

In Gujarati, from her heart: ‘હજુ આજે જ પતંગિયાથી પ્રેરિત થઈને થોડું લખ્યું અને ખૂબ ગમ્યું કે ચાલો મારામાં કંઈક બદલાયું છે’ – Today I wrote inspired by butterflies, and I loved it. Something in me has changed. That is the butterfly effect. You don't have to belong to an organization to belong to a cause. You just need warmth, curiosity, and a space where nobody feels like an outsider.”

— Zarana (Writer | Storyteller | A Curious Listener)
🌍 1. Wildlife Week 2027: Bigger & Deeper

Expand from 7 to 10 days with 2 days dedicated to field experiences (guided birding at Nyari, Gir Safari, Night Trail for macro/stargazing) and a Student Edition for 10 schools & colleges.
